CITEL's surge protectors are available in over 60 CAD formats for all engineers and designers on the TraceParts platform

CITEL, a leading designer and manufacturer of surge protectors, has chosen the TraceParts platform to provide all engineers and designers of industrial machinery and industrial equipment with access to the 3D models of its products.

Users of the www.traceparts.com website can select the right CITEL product according to their needs for shielding their electrical installations against transient surges, and subsequently download the native 3D models directly into their computer-aided design projects (CAD).

"Our customers needed 3D models of our products, so that they could easily import them directly into their CAD projects," explains Eddy Godefroy, Product Manager at CITEL. "They also wanted us to supply the models in multiple native CAD formats, and thanks to the TraceParts technology, we've ticked all their boxes. The TraceParts teams were really responsive when we were creating our 3D catalog, especially when it came to improving how we present our products on their platform, and they lent their support when launching the marketing process for our catalog."

"CITEL is an industry leader and there's a good reason why. For more than 80 years, CITEL has been constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver new products and new high value-added services, such as the decision to provide free access to the 2D and 3D CAD models of its surge protectors," explains Gabriel Guigue, TraceParts CEO. "We're delighted to count CITEL among our 800 customers spanning every sector of industry around the world. Like many of our customers, CITEL has clearly understood just how mission-critical it is to ramp up the process of creating a digitally enabled customer experience, and the teams at TraceParts are fully mobilized to help them achieve their goals."
